Pinch Hitter Program
The Pinch Hitter program is designed for thoseLGs that due to size or special circumstances are not able to participate in the Preschool Partner program. TheseLGs provide individuals who are willing to serve in the preschool area to fill in when regular preschool volunteers must be out at the last minute due to illness or emergency situations. The LG is responsible for sending 2 people during their LG hour on a monthly rotation. Age and class assignment will be made when the pinch hitter arrives at the preschool information desk to sign in. The function of the pinch hitter volunteer while in the classroom is to assist the teachers in learning activities and nurture those children who may need extra attention that day.
